The ability to pay is never considered when providing emergency services. Ambulance billing was initiated town-wide by the Town of Brookhaven to minimize out-of-pocket costs for residents. Billing is handled by a contracted third-party entity, and HIPAA requirements are followed.

Manorville Community Ambulance has a mutual aid agreement with Stony Brook University Hospital EMS for specific call types and periods of high call volume. Those ambulances are ALS units with a paramedic and EMT.

Manorville Ambulance operates three advanced life support ambulances and two ALS first responder vehicles. The company staffs ALS and BLS providers around the clock to assist when volunteers are not available.

Applicants must be 18 years old by the time of application. No medical experience is required. New members are trained in CPR, first aid, and ambulance operations, then meet with the membership committee to review probation requirements.

The district covers Manorville, South Manor, Manor Park, and parts of southwestern Calverton. The western border includes Brookhaven National Lab and North Street; the northern border is the Peconic River; the southern border is Sunrise Highway; and the eastern border is the Southampton town line.
